Are you living through an experience that feels rough at times? You’re not alone. So did the Israelites. Their experience was so rough that they collectively cried out for relief.
Our situations are most intense when we can’t determine how they will benefit us. To make matters worse, the devil often inserts his own scenarios for our situation. He’ll convince you that the rough place is your finale, or life after the rough place will be miserable and not worth living.
Although the devil’s scenarios may be convincing, remember that he is, and always has been, a liar. The truth is you’ll come out better than you went in. The Israelites were slaves in Exodus 2, but they left with a surplus in Exodus 12: “The LORD caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!” (Exodus 12:36, NLT)
I believe the same is true for you. God will not let this rough spot destroy you. He’s bringing you to a place so much better that you will forget the journey. You will come out better than you went in!
